"Karaoke at home with your PC to sing your heart out"
Do you like to sing? If you’re one of those people who occasionally pops in for karaoke night to unleash your dream and feel like a singer for a few minutes at a time, then you will definitely want to take a look at this PC game: UltraStar.
The original idea for UltraStar came from an old PlayStation game called SingStar. This game might have been born as an emulation of the original, but thanks to its open source code and the large community of players, it has been updated and perfected to the point that it’s even better than the console game, AND it’s free. Plus, computers don’t have the limitations that game consoles have, giving UltraStar much more potential to grow than any PlayStation game ever could.
UltraStar is basically a normal karaoke setup where you listen to the music and have the lyrics written out for you to sing. But unlike regular karaoke, you will be scored on your pitch, rhythm and tone. The better you sing, the better score you’ll get. You can play against up to five friends to see who is the best singer in your group. The game also has a large community of users who regularly publish songs as well as bug fixes, tips and improvements for the program.
